An awning (also called annex) for a roof tent is an extension that attaches to the tent to offer an additional sheltered space on the ground. It protects from rain, wind and sun, and can be used as living space, kitchen or storage. Some models are entirely closed with side walls, thus offering more privacy and better insulation.
